About Melinda
Melinda’s real estate career started in marketing and development in early 2000. With the condo boom of 2004, she made a career shift and began selling new construction with the Mayhood Company, a luxury sales and marketing company in the DC metropolitan area. She received the Great American Living Award for selling over $22M in new home sales in her third year as a Realtor®. As her last project was nearing an end she felt a transition into resale would be an exciting and rewarding opportunity. Her extensive market knowledge and strong negotiating skills have led her to become a top producing agent throughout her career. Melinda’s ability to listen, and true desire to help her clients, enables the buying and selling process to be less stressful and more enjoyable. With over 18 years of real estate sales experience and a passion for every transaction, she would be honored to partner with you to help you accomplish your real estate goals. Melinda is a licensed member of NAR (National Association of Realtors) and NVAR (Northern Virginia Association of Realtors). She has helped hundreds of families during her long term career selling over $300M in sales volume. Melinda is a Northern Virginia native and grew up in Reston. She raised her son in Loudoun County for over 15 years and has lived in DC and Arlington as well. She currently resides on a farm outside of Purcellville with her son and two young Labs. When Melinda is not busy helping her clients she enjoys cooking, entertaining, gardening, hiking, bird watching and listening to live music at all of the wonderful breweries and wineries in the area. She also volunteers with Lab Rescue as a foster mom.
